A peça Um Caso de Língua, Prêmio Braskem de Melhor Ator de 2008, promete muito humor para falar do português usado no Brasil, onde a população fala cerca de 10 mil palavras de origem indígena, diariamente, sem se dar conta.

Um Caso de Língua é um espetáculo que, sem didatismos, alia divertimento e informação, mostrando um desenho dos diversos aspectos que forjaram o idioma nacional. É através da criação de tipos pitorescos e seus falares que o ator Urias Lima se colocou sob a direção de Carmem Paternostro para trazer ao público esse seu segundo trabalho solo. Sem perder o tom observador-mordaz sobre a diversidade da língua nacional, o ator faz desfilar diante do espectador inúmeros aspectos da riqueza prosódica do português falado no País. “Nossa língua é pluralista, vai além da comunicação, porque informa, agrega, identifica e socializa, sem equivalente em nenhum outro país de língua portuguesa”, diz Urias que, também é autor do projeto ganhador do Prêmio Funarte de Teatro Myriam Muniz 2007.

O trabalho é fruto de mais de quatro anos de anotações, leituras e também de cuidadosa pesquisa sobre a origem da língua falada no País. O espetáculo faz um mosaico da formação do Português Brasileiro, a partir das influências de três matrizes lingüísticas: africana, portuguesa e tupi.

The play Um Caso de Língua, Best Actor on the Braskem Awards of 2008, promises a lot of humor to talk about the Portuguese used in Brazil, where the population uses around 10 thousand words of indigenous origin, daily, without being aware of.

Um Caso de Língua is a spectacle that, without didacticism, allies entertainment and information, showing a design of the various aspects that forged the national language. It is through the creation of picturesque types and their lines that actor Urias Lima put himself under the direction of Carmem Paternostro, to bring to audiences his second solo work. Without losing the observational-abrasive tone over the diversity of the national language, the actor showcases before the spectator numerous aspects of the prosodic richness of the Portuguese spoken in the country. “Our language is pluralist, goes beyond communication, because informs, aggregates, identifies and socializes, without equivalence on any other Portuguese speaking country”, says Urias, who is also author to the winning project of the Prêmio Funarte de Teatro Myriam Muniz 2007.

The work is a result of more than four years of notes, readings and also of careful research about the origin of the spoken language in the country. The show builds a mosaic of the formation of the Brazilian Portuguese from the influences of three linguistic matrixes: African, Portuguese and Tupi.
